Practice Update 2025

It is with a mixture of excitement , sadness and trepidation that I am announcing my retirement.

I will cease to practise from March 20th 2025.

I qualified in 1981 and started my career with a position within Maidstone Health Authority part time and private practice which I built from scratch.

As the private work increased over the years I gradually dropped the NHS work, until solely working within my practice.

I am grateful to all that followed me first from Blue Bell Hill to the Thorndike and then from the Thorndike to Blue Bell Hill. It seems fitting I have finished my career where it started !!

I have had a very fulfilling career, mainly due to the incredible numbers of patients (often several generations of families) I have had the privilege of knowing and serving over 44 years.

I believe I have provided a safe and friendly service over the years and I am pleased to be able to hand over to a younger generation who I am confident will continue your care with friendliness and professionalism.

From April 2025 the Practice will be moving to:

Holcombe Health Clinic
Holcombe Park
Curtis Way
Rochester
Kent
ME1 2TQ

01634 817242

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THIS CLINIC BEFORE APRIL 1st

Hannah and Louise will be heading up the new Podiatry practice.

Hannah graduated from Brighton University with a degree in Podiatry in 2015. She has been working within the NHS in Maidstone since, focusing on routine foot care, diabetic feet and wound management.
Hannah grew up in Medway and lives locally with her husband and 2 small children.
Aside from work and family life she enjoys the outdoors and gardening, having recently taken on an allotment.

Louise who has been part of the practice for nearly 20 years will continue working within the new practice. I wish to thank her as a colleague and friend for her years of service.

Lastly I would like to thank you all for your best wishes on my retirement along with the many cards and gifts I have received. You have been very generous and I am humbled by your response.

As many of you will not be at all surprised my first venture on finishing work will be a trip to Cornwall with the dogs !!! After that who knows, I will let the dust settle and then take stock.

I wish you all the very best in the future and hopefully may bump into you locally at some point.

Kind Regards

Gillian Flack
